The blue tits fledge

The blue tits at the Salmon household have been developing fast, and started to look like birds, though the mouths were permanently agape whenever the parents were around.

Then, very suddenly, one morning there were many fewer in the nest. And after a bit of hesitation the last chick found the door and was away.

We think one of them made it's way to our house, as we had a very hungry little chap stuffing his face on our feeder, pretty much oblivious to us. Be careful little one, don't be oblivious of cats and magpies...
Here's hoping the new fledglings fine their world in the big wide world
