Photo Stations are Ready for Use
The time-lapse projectis the most recent Green Appleton project. Here, photo stations are put in place in Besselsleigh Woods, and people are encouraged to take photos from them, of the view that they look out on. The photos are then uploaded to this website, either via a QR code or finding the site from a URL. In this way a time series of many photos is built up - hopefully showing the changes that occur there over the seasons and the longer term. Here you can see the photo station being constructed. There are three of them sited in the woods, looking out over places that should show interesting
changes over the seasons. Of course, the bluebells will be a key species to follow.
And here is the first test photo being taken.
We hope to be able to construct time-lapse videos from the photos, and pull out some particularly good ones.
We are also hoping that other stations will follow, principally one in the churchyard to follow the blooming of the wild flowers there, but this is subject to approval.
