A Conversation in Wantage
Green Arts Oxfordshire Network held a Creative Climate Conversation on Reimagining Waste in The Old Stables, Wantage, bringing together local community groups, artists and cultural organisations to reimagine waste and sustainable procurement.
Part of the event was a demonstration called "Weaving Dreams" led by Andrea who showed us how to mindfully weave strips of fabric around a willow frame.
Food was provided by Down to Earth Cafe. It was entirely vegan, and made with surplus food from the cafe and local supermarkets.
The discussion was led by Ellie, who talked about waste in the context of art projects, and local resources for recycled materials, including The Makery, based in the Old Stables.
