Green Appleton
Much activity observed with the camera trap this summer, and the wildlife seems to have survived the drought,
which is good news. Two badgers have been seen rather than the three we've seen before, but these may be different
individuals anyway. We have some great footage of the badgers grooming together, almost as mirror images, and the
way they interact is so affectionate!
We also have some footage of a really young fallow deer fawn - it's still wobbly on its legs - showing the uncommon
chocolate brown melanistic colouration, which is due to the expression of a recessive gene.
The September footage was so good that the video from it came out at 6 minutes long. This might be a bit of a marathon
for some, so I made a shorter version, at just over 3 minutes.
Happy viewing!
