This is Station 5 of the Green Appleton time-lapse project.
It has been placed near one of the biggest stands of Himalayan balsam in the woods, where seasonal balsam pulling has taken
place. Himalayan balsam has become a serious problem in the woods, as enormous colonies of it has shaded out and excluded
native species. We hope that successive years of pulling will reduce its scope and allow a more varied fauna to return, and that
photos taken at this station will show this.

Please note that we are finding that large photo files are sometimes slow to load. Please can you reduce the resolution/file size in your camera?
Sometimes taking the photo via WhatsApp gives a smaller file, or if all else fails, wait until you get home and upload it over the WiFi.
